Electric Water Heater

It seems like no dishwasher I have ever owned has really left all my dishes clean. I even tried cranking up the Water Heater's temperature to High - 140-ish degrees F. I'm here to tell you that it didn't make a bit of difference. So OF COURSE I turned it back down to 120-ish. I guess I will just have to be satisfied with clean particles left behind on my glasses. I have a trick that might help a few people out there - if you are going away for a few days or weeks on vacation, turn off the water heater. Mine is in the attic, so since I HATE crawling around up there, I just flick it off at the easily accessible circuit breaker box where the electric water heater has its own dedicated switch. I figure I will save some money on that month's bill and it will help off-set the cost of my trip. PLUS I leave a slightly smaller carbon footprint thatn I would have otherwise. Quick, economical, eco-friendly, easy & green - doesn't get much better than that, I tell you what!
